Building Something Special? We Want to Hear About it!!

Occasionally we take on passion projects, commissioned works and partnerships. Send us a message and if we are interested we will get in touch.

Take a look below to see our previous projects!!

The Gas Monkeys on Fast and Loud!

Went Ape over these. We built them some charcoal ceramic coated Budnik G-Series G10's with polished outers for their sonic Drive-In project Camaro. Thanks Guys!

Steve Darnell does the Vegas Rat Rods show

from his Welder-Up shop and his daily driver is this ratty 57' with a set of our Tungstens coated in titanium ceramic. They are your first clue that this old thing is a little tricker inside than it first appears on the outside. It rides on one of Rick Moore's R7R chassis with corvette suspension front and rear.

Dave Kindig and his crew at Bitchin Rides

This updated 73' Cuda rides with a set of our G10's with charcoal ceramic coated centers in polished outer's.

Neil Young's Lincvolt Project.

Growing up huge fans of his Neil's music, it was quite the surprise to get a call to make wheels for his car and vision.

We also made some of the aluminum buttons in his Sid Chavers interior.

Bell Tech's 30th Anniversary

Not one but 5 generations of Chevy Sport Trucks were built and parked front and center at Sema, with Budnik Wheels on all five.

Beautiful paint and body work done by Adam Berg and the Settin' Trendz group.

Thanks again to all the good folks at Bell Tech for including us in this display of truckin' history.

When GM decided to build a Hot Rod

To promote their flex-fuel tech, they gave us a call. We shared our retro Muroc Cad Design with GM design staff (because they are GM after all) and together created the E-85 wheel.

Jack Chisenhall's 53' Studebaker

Ran 219 MPH at Bonneville with his Vintage Air blowing cold. Then he decided to put it's 705 cubic inches to play on some road courses. He had planned this from it's inception so he had the room for 18 x 9's on the front and 18 x 12's in the rear!

One of the new wheel designs we were developing seemed like a good fit and thus the Hawk was hatched, and he got the first set. It does, after all, have 56' Golden Hawk quarter panels. If this isn't cool...

What is?

Kenny Wayne Shepard

wanted to recreate a refined General Lee. We built him some big, wide and light throwbacks to make those duke boys Proud.

John Mai's Stunning 33' Willys

He even made all the nuts and bolts. Had his own hex? head shape. We made these one-offs for the show circuit. No visible lug nuts, welds or valve stems. The air goes out through a spoke into the tire! This car has some history too...

We Filmed the First Overhaulin' Show at Our Shop.

And put in some looong hours to build the car in just one week. Our 430 wheel design was created for it (at 4:30 in the morning...) The car turned out really nice!

A last minute call before SEMA

A while back we got the call to make some one-offs that had a 20's Bugatti feel.

We had a lot of fun with this Budnik Project

Back in the late 90's SEMA's Sport Truck Magazine Cover. Hot Rod magazine and the Power Tour, Indy 500... Custom grille and front facia, hide-away headlights (the billet doors roll under the lights), custom cowl panel, hidden wipers, widened rear quarters, rear belly pan, hinged bed cover panels for hauling the Ducati, filled seams, bed moved closer to the cab, Dan Miller interior, Precision Power stereo, Paint by Mick Jenkins...

We followed up with this Red Silverado

These trucks were the 1st generation to use the Vette based LS engines, so we led with that theme to build and all American Sport Truck. Buell supplied the American Sport Bike. Due to a labor strike in Detroit timed around the big roll-out of these new trucks we only had 7 weeks to get the build done.

Metal master Jason Burke was over from NZ and we were able to put his skills to work. He worked with us to re-skin the tailgate to incorporate the tail lights and spoiler, shortened the floor of the bed to transition the tailgate nicely into the roll pan, flared the rear fenders and made a hidden storage compartment which concealed the gas cap and could be used as a step!

As on our yellow truck we made a steel cowl panel that hides the wipers. We made an aluminum center grill bar that wraps around the sides and tapers off at the front flares. The vette theme was carried into the steel front bumper and door handles. Magnuson supplied one of their excellent supercharger kits.

We've build pace car wheels for the Indy 500 and numerous Nascar races, not to mention the drivers. We've supplied the prototype wheels for concept cars ranging from GM's first Hummer and Avalanche to Porsche's GT3.
